Celebrating 3 Years of First Features: A Journey of Impact
As we celebrate the third anniversary of the First Features Project, we invite you to look back at how it all started, the milestones we’ve achieved, and the stories that continue to captivate audiences on Prime Video.
What is First Features?
Launched three years ago, the First Features Project is a groundbreaking collaboration between Native’s Filmworks and MichelAngelo Productions, designed to empower emerging filmmakers in Nollywood.
We are committed to nurturing new voices in African cinema by providing training, mentorship, and resources to bring authentic stories to life.
With each film, we are setting new standards in storytelling and production quality, helping to shape the future of African cinema.
The first cohort of the First Features Project was guided by seasoned professionals in the film industry, including directors, sound supervisors, film editors, composers, script consultants, and cinematographers. These experts brought years of local and international experience to mentor emerging filmmakers.
